# MISP threat sharing - legal and policy compliance
MISP project is a large open source project to support and improve information sharing and threat intelligence analysis at large.
As the MISP project is used in various geographical regions (Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific, South America and Africa) or sector of activities (from cyber security, intelligence community, law enforcement and NGO), a set of legal and policy compliance analysis are available to ensure compliance while using software, documents or libraries in the MISP project.
